Monique Greene

Monique Greene

Juno Lawyer

I started out in private practice and have over 15 years experience working in-house. I've worked in a large corporate team and been the General Counsel of an energy/ tech start-up that scaled hugely domestically and internationally over 10 years. I would describe myself as a generalist lawyer, but I have significant areas of interest in governance, company and commercial, energy, consumer and technology law.  I was recently working in the UK for my previous employer helping to establish their UK office and client relationship as part of a large software-as-a-service contract. Having been in the UK and gained some international privacy qualifications, I also have significant privacy expertise. I love working collaboratively with people from a wide range of disciplines to get the best result for the business.

What Monique Greene's clients say

  • Transpower | Juno Legal

We engaged Monique to assist with our internal IT contracting practice and our business needs in relation to the Privacy Act 2020, two areas of law of which Monique has particular expertise and experience. She has delivered exceptionally high service for us on these and other general commercial matters and has gained a large measure of respect from all people with whom she has interacted. Monique has always delivered sound legal advice and, just as importantly, advice that is able to be understood and used commercially by our non-legally trained colleagues. She has the experience and capability to work with the most senior executives and gain their respect and confidence.

We've been pleased with Monique’s contribution, she's got through a good chunk of work and picked things up quickly.

    Matt Starmer

GM, Legal & Business Advisory, Xero

  • NZTE

She’s a wonderful addition to our team and we are all really enjoying working with her. It’s been great to be able to have someone senior to just pick things up and run with them. We feel very lucky to have been able to nab her!

    Emma Matson

Director Legal and Property, NZ Trade and Enterprise

  • Pubic Sector Entity

Monique slotted right in, and it now feels like I've known her for years! We appreciated having Monique's excellent technical ability in the team and her privacy knowledge was very helpful to provide us with a thorough scope of work for our privacy program. With some rapid change in the team, Monique was a cool head that allowed the service we provide to our internal customers to continue without a hitch.

We have just loved having her as part of the team – she’s been incredible.
