Capability
As a commercial lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in private practice and in in-house roles, I understand how true value is provided to clients when they receive pragmatic, cost effective legal advice from a highly experienced professional. The insights gained from becoming part of the business as an in-house counsel means that I can use my skills to achieve the best possible commercial and legal outcomes for the client. My experience has been gained in the corporate and commercial divisions of law firms in Australia, London and New Zealand and as in-house counsel in the UK (on secondment to packaging giant DS Smith) and New Zealand, in a number of different industries. Most recently I was legal counsel for Kordia where I was responsible for the New Zealand business and the legal and regulatory issues relating to its wide range of products and services, from telco to cyber security and from Internet of Things to critical network infrastructure solutions.

I’m a big fan of Juno’s services for our in-house legal needs. Earlier this year Anthea Herron joined our team to help support us during a time of increased workload and limited in-house resources. Anthea hit the ground running straight away and made a huge contribution to workload management in the two days a week that she was with us. While Anthea was supporting us for two full days per week, she often worked the equivalent hours over half or part days to streamline her engagement with stakeholders and provide a seamless services. Anthea brought with her not only greatly appreciated top-end legal support, but a big smile and positive attitude which, as we all know, is highly infectious. I would definitely hope to bring Anthea back to support the team when needed in future – if she hasn’t already been snapped up!

I am so grateful to have Anthea's assistance in our team. She is an intelligent, commercial and very capable lawyer as well as being lovely person to work with. She is very much able to work independently and autonomously but is also flexible and able to work collaboratively when required, especially cross-functionally.
