Our story

Juno was created to deliver specialist, in-house legal support in a new way - that puts your business first.

After 20 years as an in-house lawyer and seven as the CEO of the In-House Lawyers Association of New Zealand, Juno founder, Helen Mackay, saw two intersecting trends:

• Organisations wanted more responsive, user-friendly ways to source legal services.
• Many of New Zealand’s most senior and experienced corporate lawyers were looking for more flexible and fulfilling ways to practise.

So she developed a service model built on giving both parties greater efficiency, transparency and flexibility - and Juno Legal was born.

We believe great lawyers create huge value when working inside and alongside businesses. With Juno, our solutions are focused through a pragmatic legal lens. Our business is to help your business succeed so we ensure we understand your strategy and your risk appetite.

And we believe in giving back to New Zealand - donating 1% of our net profit each year to charities and causes that align with the passions and values of our lawyers.

The beacon's dynamic nature, changing with its placement, references Juno's ability to change with different briefs and clients’ needs, symbolising our flexible, tailored approach. This adaptability not only provides legal expertise but also delivers strategic solutions that anticipate and navigate future challenges.
