20+ years experience in senior and executive roles across a range of industries as General Counsel including Telecom NZ (now Spark), ANZ New Zealand, BP Oil NZ Limited, and Z Energy Limited.  Key roles include leadership of legal and regulatory teams, membership of executive teams, and governance advice - board advisory and management, external reporting, and stock exchange relationship in both NZ and Australia.

Finance roles at ANZ and as consultant to FMA including establishment of initial FMA board and enforcement strategy (designed to build on lessons from the GFC).  General Counsel at ANZ during regulatory, central banking and ongoing industry change in the context of external scrutiny.  Recently, advice to registered bank on Commerce Commission market study into personal banking services.
