Juno Lawyer | Marion Heppner

Capability

I am a pragmatic commercial lawyer, with a keen focus on helping organisations to achieve their strategic objectives. I have specialist expertise in contract and intellectual property law and commercial negotiations.

For most of my career I have worked in legal and commercial roles in TV, film and sports businesses, financing, producing and licensing media content. I’ve been fortunate to do this in New Zealand, London and Switzerland, working with respected brands such as the BBC, Sony Pictures and UEFA. For the first five years of my career, I specialised in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. In my more recent role as Head of Legal & Business Affairs at the New Zealand Film Commission, I gained valuable public law expertise and leadership experience.

This diverse range of roles enables me to understand context, identify issues and work collaboratively to achieve results quickly.
