Juno Lawyer

Wellington

Melanie "Mel" Naulls | Juno Legal | Lawyer

Capability

I have over 25 years legal experience across the private and public sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, working both as sole inhouse counsel and within teams primarily in the utilities, construction, health and other highly regulated industries.

During this time I have worked extensively in general commercial advisory work, commercial contracts, procurement activities, and information and risk management. My previous roles have included being the sole inhouse lawyer for the Southern DHB providing legal services to support the operational and organisational demands of two large hospitals and spending 10 years working in the utility and infrastructure sectors in Sydney and London, which included the privilege of working on some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects. Primarily this involved front end contract negotiation and the responsibility for the delivery of contracts in excess of a billion dollars.

I am a resourceful and pragmatic lawyer who gets things done.

  • Having Melanie as part of our team has been great. She’s always willing to take on new things, including those that are complex or urgent, and we have full confidence they’ll be managed effectively and professionally when she does. Melanie has a practical and proactive approach and is focused on getting the best outcomes for her clients. She is happy to share her experience with others, which has been great for our new and less experienced team members. We asked Juno for someone to help us meet increasing demand for our services, but with Melanie we also got someone who enhanced the quality of what the team delivers too.
