Following private practice in the UK, I have over 15 years’ experience as in-house counsel in Australia and New Zealand in both the private and public sectors across a broad range of commercial, regulatory, litigation, and compliance matters. I have led legal and regulatory teams and been a member of the Executive Leadership Team and General Counsel of a global FMCG responsible for regulatory and legal advice across NZ and the South Pacific.

My approach is pragmatic and outcomes-focused rather than unnecessarily legalistic. My broad and generalist legal experience helps me to always keep the client’s operating environment, strategic drivers and risk appetite front and centre when considering the application of the law in a given situation. 

I enjoy getting to know new clients and their business/organisation and building relationships with key stakeholders to leverage better outcomes. I am agile, calm, and collaborative and look to retain a sense of humour even through challenging moments.
