2. How would your clients or colleagues describe your legal style?
A. Commercial, pragmatic, and trusted to just get things done. People describe me as warm, diplomatic, and calm.
B. Thorough and collaborative, with a good balance of risk and reality.
C. Detail-oriented and analytical. I prioritise legal precision and technical accuracy in my work.
3. How do you approach managing your workload and maintaining balance in a fast-paced or demanding environment?
A. I stay flexible and responsive, adjusting priorities as needed. This allows me to handle changing demands while staying effective. I’m quite resilient.
B. I proactively plan and set clear boundaries to stay focused and maintain well-being. This helps me sustain high performance over time.
C. I am highly committed and always go above-and-beyond. I like clear directions from my manager to help me prioritise.
4. How do you typically approach sharing your expertise or insights with colleagues across the team or organisation?
A. I actively look for opportunities to share knowledge and support others, whether through mentoring, documentation, or team discussions.
B. I’m happy to share when asked or when it’s relevant to a project I’m involved in.
C. I tend to focus on my own responsibilities, but I’m open to sharing when asked.
5. We have been successful in creating solid income security for our lawyers but it is still a model where continuous income is not guaranteed. How do you feel about some risk of fluctuation in your income?
A. I'm comfortable with this model. The professional autonomy balances any potential financial fluctuations, and I am not worried about this for my household.
B. I'm open to it, but I would prefer some predictability.
C. I am dependent on consistent and certain income levels. Financial stability is an important factor in my professional decisions.
6. How would you feel about joining an organisation where you have limited prior knowledge of the work type or the issues they’re currently facing?
A. I’d see it as a great learning opportunity. Bringing a fresh perspective can lead to creative solutions and unbiased insights. I’m confident that I can be versatile and adaptable.
B. I might find it challenging at first, but I’d rely on asking questions and learning from others to gradually build confidence and contribute effectively.
C. It would be difficult to commit to a job not knowing what it needs from me. I am selective about what situations and work I do, because I know I perform at my best when I am standing on firm ground.
7. How do you feel about networking?
A. I am excited to meet new people and am comfortable with a wide diversity of humans. I like to connect and learn, and new professional and social situations are appealing to me.
B. I’d prefer to meet new people one on one and can sometimes feel a bit awkward or uncertain in new environments.
C. I am introverted and/or shy and new people and new environments can be difficult for me. I value deeper relationships with people I have known for a long time.
8. Our lawyers need to adapt to new tools and technologies for each client as they usually operate within the client ecosystem. How are you at picking up new tech?
A. I am a digital native/fast adapter and can intuitively find my way around most new systems and technologies.
B. I ensure I keep up with new technology and am confident I can adapt to a new system with some training and guidance.
C. I struggle to learn new tools and technologies and do not describe myself as digitally confident or competent.
