Sarah has a friendly, approachable style and was quickly able to develop strong relationships across the organisation. She's hard-working, practical and efficient, which has made her a hugely valued and respected asset on the legal team. She's interested and engages well across all areas of the organisation, which helps to deepen her understanding of our context - but she's also able to step back and highlight opportunities to streamline and simplify processes and documentation. She's a trusted sounding board and just an all-round gem.

Jen [gave a] thorough and thoughtful handover. She has played such a key role in establishing the "new Stuff" since the MBO, and I know she is very loved by the business. I can also see the stellar work she has done in re-shaping our legal function to make it fit for purpose for the journey ahead. And of course she is a whip-smart lawyer and a brilliant, funny and kind colleague. Whoever gets her next will be very lucky. 

To say Jeremy is a safe pair of hands is an understatement. Jeremy came to EA to cover parental leave. He helped us by taking on a newly created interim manager role in our compliance (enforcement) team, bringing together a team of investigators. Jeremy put in place new processes and redesigned the way the team operated to streamline and modernise the function, while also keeping the team happy and engaged. He also dealt with some high profile and challenging cases. Nothing seems to phase Jeremy; he’s extremely competent, reliable and fits in really well in any team.

Nikki fitted in extremely well and was able to teach and learn and be a support as well as a very capable lawyer. She helped solve a particularly complex and difficult OIA/Privacy issue that had become vexatious and stressful– Nikki came in and organised the situation into a mini project and used her people skills/legal analysis and judgment in a way that took a lot of the heat out of it. We were able to move forward in a way that had been difficult before Nikki’s guidance and professionalism.

Jacki has brought a depth of experience to the RBNZ legal team. We note she has many strings to her bow, including her skills as a coach and personal development counsellor in her legal and business advice. I would highlight her contracting and procurement advice where she guided us closer to best practice, working closely with the business.

Helen assisted Marlborough District Council in a recent review of our legal structure and provided our Executive Team with a range of options for our legal function going forward. Helen was extremely helpful in fostering communication with General Counsel’s from other local authorities and also assisted in the recruitment of a General Counsel for Marlborough District Council. I found Helen to be very professional and  knowledgeable and her ability to respond quickly to issues and offer timely advice was particularly helpful.

I’m a big fan of Juno’s services for our in-house legal needs. 

Anthea Herron joined our team to help support us during a time of increased workload and limited in-house resources. She hit the ground running straight away and made a huge contribution to workload management. 

Jen is an absolute superstar and has taken on the role of general counsel with enormous ease, despite media being a new industry to her. Nothing fazes her, whether it be a tricky media issue or, as happened a few weeks into her tenure, a change of ownership for our business.

Sarah is fantastic.  She was very helpful [in a coaching capacity] in bringing a fresh perspective to challenges faced and helping me see solutions in a different way.  I greatly appreciated having Sarah’s insight and wisdom.
